I still don't have any contact info for you in New York! You should email (blessisf at whitman dot edu OR stealthyshelby at yahoo dot com) or call (nine seven zero six three one twenty-eight twenty-five) me and let me know if you have a phone number or something. I'll get to NY tomorrow afternoon and leave really early Monday morning.

If you do get a Mac, let me know and I'll point you toward some useful software. Besides being able to run Windows if you install Boot Camp, I've also discovered a number of tweaks, plugins, and so forth that can make the Mac feel a and act a lot more like Windows (by closing programs when you close the last window, for instance).

This is a really good time to buy a Mac, too (if you're looking for a laptop) since they just updated the whole laptop line with the new Intel Core 2 Duo chips. The only sad thing is that they don't have the sexy little 12" computers anymore (there's some that are close to the same size, but everything is widescreen).

Just to sway you a little bit, Matt said recently that if he were going to buy a laptop he would definitely get a Mac. I don't know if I've ever heard such an endorsement; I had thought Matt's Mac-hatred was something that had a snowball's chance in hell of changing. :-)
