o__o I actually don't know them. Were they cartoon characters?

yup, late 90's cartoon.
They don't resemble those two at all look-wise but they're the only magician/assistant I knew so.

Anyway, I guess the story would be a love triangle between a magician, his assistant, and the art of illusion.

How fascinating! I've never read a bl sequential art story with a magician theme, but I have read a m/m ebook with an illusionist. (It was fabulously captivating and sexy.) If any one could do a fabulously captivating and sexy illusionist drama comic that I would read and buy, it'd be you!

Ohh, I think Houdini and Holmes by Polly Guo has some magicians themes in it! At least, Houdini is in it. But I guess it's mostly about Holmes hahaha
I'm sure there are a FEW out there... S:I I can't really think of any off the top of my head... Hm... BL seems to stay in a relatively "safe" zone, doesn't it? Somewhere between businessmen and schoolboys.

Anyway, would you mind pointing me in the direction of this sexy ebook? ;D

Is Polly Guo a BL writer? OR is that title more of an action adventure? I'm intrigued by her art; I've never heard of this comic artist before.

The book is more of a supernatural, illusionist title. The story has it's problems, but I was absolutely held breathless and enthralled from the first page to the last.

Thank-you~ I'll have to check it out!

And I guess that title would be a murder mystery... It's about Houdini being framed for murder and Holmes investigating. She is known to have drawn BL/slash fanart though, so there might be hints of Holmes/Watson in the comic (although I haven't encountered any yet, I've only read the first issue)

Your picture is delicious. Though what? No sparkles and scanty clothing on the assistant? ...I suppose he's sexier this way. Still. Tradition and all... And I am very much in favor of stories about gay magicians. See me de-lurk to say so??? *puppy eyes for more* ^____^

I also really like how they come with cuddly creatures. I want to squeeze your duck. <3

Thank-you~
Actually, the cliche that's the lovely female assistant didn't exist (as I understand it) until the 20's. Before that it was pretty impractical to have female assistants, since they had big bunchy skirts that didn't allow them to crawl into trap doors and that sort of thing.

Anyway, your comment actually makes me want to look for BL stories featuring magicians. I'm sure they exist.
