Why does the job market suck so?

So I've been spamming apps down south to try and have a job before I move, and the only people who've followed up on anything -- besides an auto-generated reception confirmation email -- is another staffing agency that was hoping to place me at TD Banknorth in Falmouth.  Never mind the fact that I'm not really looking for something in the area...  ( Read more... )

Could really get into the sports scene down there, though. And I have a lot of family from the area... I've thought about it, sure, but one of the reasons I'm considering moving to Baltimore/DC/Virginia area is to avoid the winters. Sure, it *was* a particularly long and cold one this past year, but when I've been spoiled the two years before... you sort of know where you stand on the whole snow thing.

Great Works is hiring for Field Techs. Have you tried there? They're right over in Biddeford.

I don't know. Don't think I want to stay in the area (see: some posts above), but I'll definitely have to check them out after my trip next week if I don't find anything that catches my eye...

You could go the other way, go apply to work at Oxford Networks instead.

Y'know... the reason there are still jobs in Biddo and Lewiston is because nobody wants to be there.
