I got the job.

Antek Healthware wants me to start on Monday for paperwork and to begin training. After three months of training, I'll start traveling and doing installations on the road. Hopefully by then they'll figure out my niche and what my project's are gonna be for when I'm in the office ( Read more... )

The monkeys & I congratulate you! Hopefully you like this job. That can be the issue in having a non-retail job. It's non-retail, but it doesn't mean you'll like doing it anymore than you liked doing retail.

This is true -- I may not like the job -- but one thing I like about the job and the opportunities that they mentioned to me in the interview is that I'll be able to dabble in a couple of things within the company after I'm done training. So even if I don't like the job, hopefully there'll be some aspect of the job I can find that won't suck.

Worst case scenario, I'll keep the job for a couple of years just for the travel opportunities -- a huge perk in my book -- and then move on after I want to settle.
