Agreed. It's like peeling an onion. The necessary part is the gross outer skin - smooching and the like. Then, there's the emotional intimacy, followed by amount of time spent together. All of which haven't changed over the ages, but then we get to the fun new layers. First, she leaves the AIM buddy list, followed by LiveJournal. She never did anything malevolent, so the Facebook friendship stays. ^^;

All part of the baggage of the Web 2.0 generation, but hey, I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
