I'm pro-gun, and pro-choice...and GAY! OMG...who would have ever thought. ;-)
I have mixed emotions about this. The law does allow for guns in the airport as long as it's not behind the 'secure area'. The idea of calling it a secure area is a bit of a joke itself, but I'm not even going to go there. I don't feel that everyone should have the right to carry a gun. But if you've done everything to satisfy the government to allow you to carry a concealed weapon, you should be allowed to take it wherever you want. I do kind of think that the requirements to get a concealed weapons permit need to be re-addressed, and include a psych evaluation, but that's just me.
Here, even the Police have to have their guns in a secured box to transport them in an airport. The thought of allowing guns in an airport scares me. It sounds like a Port Arthur Massacre waiting to happen.
I dont agree with the whole right to bear arms shit. GUNS SHOULD not be in airports plain and simple....I know if I had a gun there would be tons of dead people in the world....when i walk down the street and someone even looks at me the wrong way...BAM BAM BAM! DIE!

Anyway, there are places that armed civilians just don't belong, and I strongly believe that an airport is one of them.
