Oh my.  I finally got the internet working in the apartment down here.  While I’m thinking about it, I will post my address/phone number coming up soon in a private post.

Your story was very enjoyable to read. I look forward to future updates as you try to claw back to American culture via the interweb.

I expect you to shag atleast 11 gorgeous Mexican princesses. Oh yeah, and stab a man in the heart.

The adventure is a complete bust if you don't stab a man in the heart.

i'm glad to hear you're alive!

why did you need cat litter? you weren't crazy enough to bring a cat down there were you?

oh.. and the 5 stages of culture shock (so you can look forward to it)
1. honeymoon (yay i love it here)
2. rejection (i hate it here, aggression, complaining)
3. regression (idealize home)
4. recovery (more comfortable, get by w/o anxiety)
5. reverse culture shock (more culture shock when you get back home)

I did sit and read the whole thing, well glad to see that you are at least making your way good sir. I admit I was starting to get worried. Anyway, good to hear from you, I guess I will start getting on AIM more often. Keep the faith man.

One thing, and this might sound weird, but one thing you absolutely must do while you're in Mexico is:

Region Codes and Mexico spideman September 9 2006, 19:23:15 UTC
Mexico regions codes are alos NTSC.

You should have no problems with what you buy down there.

Note:

Most DVDs and the like are brought into Mexico from Europe and China, which means PAL only.

You may want to double check that before you buy on the market.

Good luck with everything down there.

Dickus here... I seem to have forgotten my log in.

Thanks for the update. Very vivid. The only thing I reccommend you do is drink plenty of Negra Modelo... currently my favorite beer.

Just tonight, Colin, Bobby, Chris and Steve Fohl and I ran 5 miles in the rain in Richmond. It was surreal. I thought about you. You would have enjoyed it.

Keep the updates comin.
