Just had my shotgun licence interview with the very nice firearms officer.

I am now ticketed in all but having the bit of paper in my hand- happy happy! He even threw in an Acquire and Use ticket to speed things up for me- joy joy!

Hopefully you've submitted a suitably unsuitasble photograph.

Mine looks like I'm an arabic terrorist, Dave's make him look like a serial killer from the bayou, and Louise's looks like she's in the Bader Meinhof.

Also you may want to consider upgrading to an Acquire and Store as soon as is reasonable. I don't pretend to understand the rules, but some powder masters have been told they can only issue to Aquire and Use tickets in their own group. An Aquire and Store neatly sidesteps that.

I have a very generous landlady/flatmate but I think setting up an explosives cabinet in her loft may be pushing my contract too far!

...much easier than that.

First, the requirement is for a storage box that meets the requirements.
It's a portable animal. You could, f'rinstance, buy one from Kranks.
You don't ever have to fill it at home.

But even, simpler, you actually just need access to said box. "Ah, yes, I will use Jimmy's box if ever I'm responsible for the powder [when he can't go]." You do need to go through the faf of confirming Jimmy has a suitable box, but that's all.
