Today I get to eat  jelly, icecream and cake for lunch for 'tis my god-daughter's birthday.

This will be followed by a small amount of time dedicated to "testing" her birthday presents from other people and then trumping them all, once again, by handing mine over- her very own hobbyhorse so she can come "riding" with me and her dad next time.

I have already started priming my mates 3yr old with Knights and swords and first chance I get, foam swords will appear in the (to be) renamed armoury and wardrobe. I feel that a copy of Meyer's longsword Fechtbuch is also in his future. Neither parent has any WMA interests and for one its going to be a considerable surprise.

Along with the hoby horse I got a load of wooden swords and other toys( job lot from a mate that's daughter had grown out of her thenty toys) - more surprises await Gareth and Maggie ;)
