I look forward to seeing how the programme will change. The current one doesn't look particularly exciting to me though I suspect that my tastes are rather in the minority.

I always find that mine seem to be in the seemingly less popular end (ie I don't do "medieval" wherever possible, unless it is siege weaponry or cannon, and am of a distinctly "classical" bent better served by more of the continental events) so this is a rather good line up for me as it is many of the folk I learn from anyway.

However I suspect it will shift to be more varied if what Andrew has stated holds (he wrote a fantasy wishlist for himself which seems to have been used as copy for the website and bears no relation to reality) but, as Floor Manager for this one, I won't get to play much anyway :-(

However I have some plans for 2010...

Verbania with FISAS, Annecy with the French and Madrid with the Spanish are my bag- formal "top down" teaching, in nice matching outfits, lots of etiquette and tough classes with lots of learning, starting with coffee, three hour lunches with red wine flowing followed by evenings in restaurants working my way through the menu and wine lists all with a lot of cigarettes and fencing philosophy discussions and a good deal of classical rapier and a few other curios.

Like living Baron De Bazancourt's book for real :-)

Not to sound nitpicky or anything but last year's meal wasn't really "elaborate" (I mean the food) so hopefully this year's menu will be a little more original.

That said, the classes do look good for me so far, if only Olivier's second class wasn't clashing with Mark's first half of his boarding thing...

The food never really bothered me but there are several factors involved that make logistics tricky ( ... )
