It's not as sentimental as the picture I got last time, but these alchemy books will definitely come in handy! Especially if I try to teach it like I intended to long ago... I'm still grateful that we still get small things from home sometimes, anyway. Hopefully next time I'll get a cat! Surely Brother wouldn't be such a heartless person to leave a ( Read more... )

Once this building's fixed up, I think we should do that. Teach people about alchemy, I mean.

Uh-huh! I've always loved cats and really wanted one, but Mom never let me have one, and Brother and I travel so much that we could never keep a pet. Plus, with the sort of trouble we get into, I don't know how safe it would be...

Yeah! There's a long way to go, but you're definitely making good progress! I think next week we might be able to start on some more simple moves: stances, maybe a few punching techniques, those sorts of things.

Heh, I'm kinda a cat person, and we could never have one while traveling with the military... so now that we have an actual place to live, it would be easier if a cat did show up! There was one once, when I first got her, but... I guess the acid rain just weakened it too much.

Oh, Mr. Iroh is one of my teachers! He's a very nice man, and he gives a lot of really good advice. Plus he's much older and experienced than me, so he could help you in ways I couldn't.

A-ah, don't worry about it Miranda! I-it was just, um, u-uh-- Teacher was kinda a scary woman, and she-- WELL IT'S OKAY BECAUSE I'M ALIVE AND I LEARNED A LOT! A-and we weren't in very serious trouble in the first place!

Ah... Not really. Our house burned down shortly after our mom died. And it's okay about him; it was very rough at that time, I'm not sure a cat could've survived anyway.

H-hehe! Well, I am only fifteen, and he's an elder. He's a very good person though, and very wise.
