Happy Mother's Day.
...Well. No use being morose over it. It's not a big holiday, but it would've been nice to at least put some fresh flowers on her grave.
Erm. Anyway! Is anyone interested in teaching languages? I've been here a long time and I can barely understand half the city. I promise, I can do work in exchange for lessons! I'm really good at

I've heard of Japan though! Is it a common language? I'd like to learn it, even if it isn't.

Well, Japanese is a language of a whole country... Perhaps less people speak it than English, but I'd say it was a useful language. I would be willing to teach you.

Thank you! I'd definitely be willing to try my hardest! The only other language I'm familiar with is Xingese--erm, Chinese, I think is what it's also called--but I don't understand it beyond a few terms.

She knows about it. For the most part. And if it does turn into a problem, we can go elsewhere when she--

Yeah, she kind of does seem like Master, doesn't she?

Oh! Would you like to learn German? I...um...well, I could probably try to teach you...after all, you are teaching me martial arts! It'd only be fair!

German? Ah, sure! That sounds great! I'm... not completely sure where German is, but there's probably a lot of people who speak the language, right?

[a soft giggle] German is the language of Germany! It's the country that I was born in. And I think I have heard at least a few people speaking it. I keep seeing posts by a man who says he is Germany but I don't really understand why he thinks he's...well...at least he can speak German?

Germany. Oh. Whoops. That makes sense. Um. W-well, if others are speaking it and you know it, it'll be worth it to learn!
So... there's someone here calling himself by a country's name? Uh. Wow. I'll assume he's either a little crazy, named like the Homunculi are, or there's a world out there with country-people. It's pretty weird, no matter how you look at it.

[[ooc: you know, I suspect that if an Izumi ever showed up here, she and Susan would get on like a house on fire. (Or they'd end up killing each other...XD)]]

[ooc: They'd do the latter, then the former. Meanwhile the Elrics would weep inside.]

[sigh] Well. At the very least, you'll need to pick a language. Unfortunately, from what I've gathered the languages spoken in my world are known by different names in other worlds, so determining exactly which languages you are interested in could be a problem. But, so far I've gathered that a few of the languages I speak are known as "Chinese", "German", and "English" in most worlds - but seeing as you are already talking to me in that language, I can see you won't be interested in learning it. I've also see evidence of Brindisian and Quirmian being spoken, but as yet I have not been able to determine what name they are typically known by.
[with a slight tinge of sarcasm] Of course, I could always just spout out excerpts from all the languages I speak and you could point and tell me which one you want to learn. But that would same some time.
[[ooc: fff probably! Also, I keep looking at Susan's ( ... )

I'm afraid the only other one I recognize is Chinese, which would be the equivalent to Xingese on my world. That would be useful to learn, since I have several friends from Xing! And then maybe I could learn more about Xingese alchemy.
...E-erm. That's alright. I-I'll just. Pick Chinese. Or let you pick. Um. Whichever.
[ooc: ...The idea of Al speaking Welsh is endlessly appealing to me AND I'M NOT SURE WHY. And omg speakign Dwarvish to Ed alkejr;awly;hrlr;wajvafl AND ED WOULDN'T GET IT UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE.]
