And the answer is: FACTS.

I can make up "meaning and purpose" for myself as I go along.  The same cannot be said for facts.

     I originally supported the international intervention in Afghanistan.

I've occasionally heard people gripe that we shouldn't be involved in any war, that we shouldn't be so willing to kill other human beings, and that we should think more about the soldiers and civilians who die in wars.

     It's that time again.  The City Of Toronto is in the grip of municipal elections.  Polls open at 10:00 local time and close at 20:00.  You should really go out and vote, because a lot of people fought long and hard to make sure you have the right to vote.
