10/17/1989 Loma Prieta

I would like to ask all of my friends for 15 seconds of silence at 5:04pm (PDT) today for those that have passed to the other side as a result of the 1989 Loma Prieta Quake here in the bay area. I was 9 years old, scared out of my wits for 15 seconds, then again for the many aftershocks that followed. My family was OK, though we had a good friend who was on the bay bridge when the quake happened...fortunately she was alright.
