yeah it was alot of work to prep the yard. My house in on a huge incline so we had to have a bulldozer come in and actually level a spot. Sucked. My parents had a pool for years and it was usually my responsibility to tend to it so that part of the workload will be a breeze for me :)

Woohoo! party at Sandi's place! Did you put it up yourselves? I'm impressed. I got one of them little waterhosed powered vacuum things and it worked great for extra debris cleaning. Have fun!

I went and filled my pickup with sand and backed it up to the backyard gate, Hubby and his boys did the rest while I went to pick up dinner ;)

Fun summer at your house. Make sure you slather tons of sunscreen on our little darlins.

Always do. Doesnt help with the twins cause they are so damn pasty white like their daddy. Thankfully Kayla has my skin color and seems to stay tan year round.

Man, you're the third person I know online who's putting a pool in!

We'd discussed it ourselves a few years ago, but Chon wouldn't have it. He said that kids would come over and drown and we'd be sued.

In the twelve years I've lived out here in the sticks, I've never seen a single kid roaming around.

He just doesn't want to mess with it.

Anyway, yay on your new pool!! I just might have to come visit... Of course, y'all would need to avert your eyes when I put a bathing suit on due to lumpiness and major blinding WHITEness. And I guess I'd have to actually buy a bathing suit... ;)

its really not that much work anymore. You can get one of those that has the big blow up ring around the top and it stands up as its filled. That would be perfect for your flatness of a yard. and you can get them in lil kid size too, perfect for Babyhead.

Those werent an option for our yard as we are on a major hill and actually had to have Wills buddy bring the bulldozer over to level it out a bit, and a truckload of sand... and damn thing is still about two inches off on one side, just hope it holds for this summer & next summer. After that we are getting a pool company to come and install a "real" pool :)

You are welcome to come anytime. I could use the company actually. And PLEASE..as IF I own a swimsuit!!!??? Its tank tops and shorts for me mama.
