I copied this from someone in the gay_rights community:

I discovered the most hateful church ever imaginable they raise money and send their members all over the counrty to spread an anti-gay message of hate in the name of God of course. and they didnt stop there either. they go on to blame homosexuality for 9/11, and the Tsunami. They claim these events ( Read more... )

Ugh! More steam is coming out of my ears right now than from a friggin steam locomotive! WTF? Do those people think they are? I swear if there is a hell, then they are going to be the first people there. These two quotes really got to me the most.

“It’s not OK for the Supreme Court to impose their moral judgments on everyone else,” Hockenbarger said. “You can’t live your life any way you want and expect to go to heaven.” oh yeah....like Hockenbarger isn't imposing her hatred on others...

Fred Phelps Jr with the Westboro Church: "This whole country is talking about it, it’s time for the Bible side to be out. God hates homosexuals and it's the filthiest conduct known to man." Fred Phelps Junior is the oldest son of I have heard of his dad before, I guess you can't expect much more out of him...."like father, like son"....*sighs in disgust ( ... )

yeah... so um... Rev. Phelps is protesting tomorrow at the high school right near here cause they're trying to start a GSA. i find it slightly amusing cause last week was unofficial lesbian week (indigo girls concert, Col. Grethe Cammermeyer) and he shows up right after... bastard. yeah... and the "church" is really just his family, cause he had like 9 kids and then they reproduced...

the local chapter of PFLAG is taking pledges for every minute of protest tomorrow... and sending a "thank you" letter to Phelps for helping them raise money. *giggles* i'm not sure how the protest is really going to work, cause they can't be on the high school property... so who knows. if it wasn't so damn early in the morning (7:30am) i'd go with friends for an anti-protest protest... but alas, i have a 9am class.

stupid ignorant hatemongers.

Wow. That's...that's just fucked up. So they're going to be pissing off the glbt community, those who support them, AND people who were effected for 9/11 and the tsunami (whether they are gay-friendly or not, they have a right to be upset when these idiots go around saying 'thank god for this event that killed your loved ones')

That's crazy.

But thanks for the link to that community, I joined :)
