Appearance: Eleanor is a pale-faced, pretty girl. Her creamy-white complexion is the object of envy for many girls of her age (although it would probably be classified as “pasty” in modern times). Her image can be likened to many of the pin-up beauties of the time. She’s a 1934-make American doll, boasting feminine curves, rosy cheeks, and blonde curly hair. Her hair is straight naturally, but she painstakingly curls it every morning to keep onboard with current trends. At its full length, her hair falls a few centimeters past her shoulders, however after coiled and parted into a side-bob, it looks about medium length. Her eyes are rich hazel, often reflecting a bright, forest-like brown. She freckles easy when exposed to the sunlight, and because of this carries a parasol with her on sunny days.
She is very up-to-date with current fashion trends. When not in uniform, she can be seen wearing any combination of hats, dresses, and heels. Occasionally she likes to accessorize with pearls and brooches. Her style of dress can be described as elegant and conservative. Although she has some interest in brands and shopping, most of her clothes are self-made. She collects patterns and fabrics from around the world. There’s not much she can’t make with her singer sewing machine and her own two hands. She often dresses her uniform up with hair ties and bows- and in the wintertime, with scarves.
Personality: Although she can be a bit snide at times, Eleanor isn’t a total snob. Albeit being spoiled by her privileged lifestyle, her brother kept her humble and clear-headed. Unlike her brother, friends don’t come to her easy (no thanks to her often nitpicky and stuffy behaviors), but she extends her friendship without bias. She is relatively liberal about who she will show affection, and although she can be cold-natured at times, she cares when it counts the most. Friends and family are the most important things in her life, although she often claims to be preoccupied with school and her hobbies. She is constantly making gifts for her friends and family. She’s quite good at sewing, baking, and other domestic duties- as she was trained that these were essential skills for a proper lady, and she often uses these skills to brighten other people’s day.
Eleanor ‘s lived a somewhat sheltered life, and a s a result of this upbringing she’s a little bit prudish. She’s the type to wrinkle her brows and turn up her nose towards acts of deviancy, and she often scolds her brother for some of his more wild behavior. Eleanor often takes her responsibilities very seriously, and does not lend herself easily to crude humor and ill-thought out actions. She does not take very kindly to things that offend her system of morals, and her knee-jerk reactions to such can sometimes get her in trouble. While her strict moral code can aid her in making the charitable and kind decisions, it can also become hindering in the way that it sets up moral standards for others. This occasionally causes Eleanor to come off as ostracizing. Give her some time, however, and she may begin to question the validity of some of her judgments.
A willful girl, Eleanor often has difficulty with team mentalities. With a tendency to saddle others with unwanted tasks and expectations, she often tries to assume the leadership role. That’s not to say she’s very independent, however. Her pampered lifestyle left her with little experience in living life self-sufficiently and she is still quite naïve to the real world. Stubborn as she is, if her plans are met with resistance or overruled by another, she may try to execute them by herself. She dislikes relying on others and appearing weak, and will push herself to extremes to prove herself and protect her pride. Because her brother also has a rather strong-willed personality, she often finds herself butting heads with him.
History: Eleanor was born into the Campbell family only 6 minutes before her twin Brother, James. The Campbell family has been notably well-off for some centuries now, having conducted some major business in the steel and metal-work fields. Eleanor and James lived a life of privilege, and have been sheltered from the “real world” as a result of that. Although at times naïve to the greater reality, they avoided entitlement issues thanks to having one another’s company. In all their disagreements and rivalries, Eleanor and James ultimately benefitted from having to share and compensate for one another.
In addition to her school education, Eleanor was tended to by several tutors that lectured her in domestic skills. She took a particular liking to cooking and sewing, her teachings extended to housework, painting, and piano as well- although her skills were a bit lacking in the latter two. She and her brother’s extra-curricular activities were kept quite separate prior to their enrollment in Adessi, but even despite they were very close. Although they fought like siblings often do, they were overall quite supportive of each-other throughout their youth. The Campbell name represents very tightly weaved family bonds, and Eleanor and James relationship is exemplary of this.
