Well, I've been on an emotional rollercoaster these past few days. Wednesday's happy news left me screaming, laughing, and eventually, crying. The storm finally hit Ithaca. The whole city closed down for a snow emergency this morning, but Cornell didn't, so I had to climb through snowdrifts up to my waist to get to class. When it didn't get cold in Ithaca until January, I thought global warming was ruining everything. But it's -13 degrees outside right now. Maybe the climate hasn't changed all that much.

One thing I like about Cornell is how polite everyone is. From holding doors to giving up seats, it's just a lovely place. But the best thing is the graffiti. In the bathroom at Willard Straight Hall, there's lots of writing on the stall doors, but instead of being anything vulgar or "X + Y = 4EVA" or anything stupid like that, it's all these words ( Read more... )
