"I can assure you as person living in Bulgaria his entire life, that thanks to our alliance with the EU and NATO gradually our army and our military arsenal were decommissioned over the years, turning us into a harmless state entirely dependent on the NATO bases that have been repurposed into such from previous barracks and airfields that belonged to the Bulgarian armed forces. In all these years of being a member of the two largest alliances in the world, we have not received any upgrades in our military hardware and frankly even the few fighter jets we have are still old Russian ones. The said explosions you mention by the way we're from military arsenal depots filled with practically outdated weaponry and ammunition. Here in Bulgaria we're joking albeit with some sadness what a complete laughing stock we have been turned into when it comes to our army. People here are not happy with our NATO alliance, nor with the constant limitation from the EU side in our economic sector. Believe me we have gained nothing, complete zilch from our alliance with the West. While a few times US military personal have also rolled out in full force into a factory of ours and some settlements allegedly by mistake but in reeality the troops just wanted to shows some power."

I would like to see what would Bulgaria be without western support today. Vote for quitting Nato then what's the problem now?^)
Russia would be happy you know they love neighboring neutral countries
^)hello from Ukraine
Dimiter" honestly probably better at least economically. You know that we were forced into shutting 2 out of 4 reactors in our own NPP, to be able to join EU. The official statement was that they were allegedly unsafe, later debunked. In reality the country made close to 500 million per year by just selling electricity out of Bulgaria with these two reactors. But you can't have a small post Soviet state be a substantial economics and energetics player in the EU. In 30 years we have become a voiceless, powerless nation. The country is in massive debt, the economy is in shambles, the military is close to none and the average folk especially people with illness or pensioners live in utter poverty.
me^I mean, many veterans voted for zelenslky, because former president 'made loses of territory, maybe,he is russian agent'(strong conspiracy theories included)
Yanucovitch before 2013 was so strongly prorussian, that Ukraine could take part in any crysis as member of russian_belarus_kazahstan alliance.
Well, and it can be a long list of loses and geopolitical expectations, but who knows what could happen. We all enjoed reading about evil plans of nato, CIA, masons, as many slavs do so(especially, the serbian ones)
dimiter to me(Stefan): Stefan Khrabrov nor Ukraine nor Bulgaria, we're some countries caught in the middle of geopolitical interests. Ukraine being direct neighbor to Russia even more so. No matter who you're with there is no winning side. The so called buffer countries as you mentioned are always suffering in the end. And that's a price the great powers and leaders are more than willing to pay, when it comes to what their sick minds are trying to accomplish.
meanwhile, Stefan pizdit again" yep, we, slavs, should take care of ourselves. Such is away of spiritual evolution ,[despite the fact that ezoterical wisdom and conspiracy beliefs made us become antivaccine champions years before pandemic same shit appeared in kazahstan
ну и на Западе.где не таких мощных аналитиков-технарей,тупо розганяются "американские биолаборатории" в месте проведения российских операций. И выкапанный трафик торговли детьми, которых русский спецназ освободил, естественно
