These are wonderful. I felt the intensity of the sun while looking at some of these. Sequences 2 and 3 are my favorites.
I know everyone's a critic, but I have some misgivings about the log in the third picture in sequence 3. It's not that it's out of place for the area, it just seems like it draws focus away from the theme of sun-clouds-water-earth. As a stand alone photo, though, it is exceptionally good.
And a funny story behind this series. When I took these shots and gave them the first look I thought there are crap. I found 4 that were salvageable and started to reframe and hone them. And here we are -- some of my favorite dawn pics.
btw, I did not realize I have so much stuff. Originally I though I will have difficulties finding 12 not to mention 18. Now it seems like I may have about twice as many as I need.
I love the line rain falls on rain (regardless of whether the ku can go with a non-rainy scene).
I like the sun embroidering the edges of the clouds in the photos where it's mainly hidden, and I love the silver-gray color of the water and shore in those.
