While he was still alive, let's get real... He was pretty much shunned by most folks. I used to have this whole line of reasoning that basically said, "You know, no matter how bad you may have f'ed up in your own life...you haven't f'ed up as badly as Michael Jackson." Thanks for typing this. It is nice to see another person with similar thoughts put them out there.

I honestly agree with everything you said here. And while I haven't been chasing the TV specials or his televised 2nd memorial, that doesn't mean that I didn't care about the guy for the exact reason you tossed up. He wrote some infectious tunes that, to this day, still stand out!
