I'm so sick of the snow!!!!!  It would be one thing if there were no hills, and if they plowed/sanded/de-iced more of the roads around here....but we just don't get this kind of weather very often, so no one is ever prepared for it.  Needless to say, most people don't think that driving in this crap is worth it, especially for something as minor as ( Read more... )

I know, my husband is pretty funny sometimes! :) It's a good excuse to stay home for a day, or maybe two....but it gets old after awhile!

I'm feeling well!! Thank you for asking!! :)

The pinata at Paco the Snowman's "feet" is a nice touch! I've taken one day off due to the weather but I've been going in the last couple of days so that I can get paid. It sucks having to choose between money and braving the ice.

You're right...it does suck to have to choose. I went in to work this afternoon, and it was nice to be able to get paid for a bit! :)
Glad you like the pinata! ;)

I hear ya, girlie - the snow is totally cramping our social life. ;) Seriously, though, I think I'm getting a case of cabin fever because I just don't have the guts to brave driving in this weather either! I've had to cancel meeting w/ friends twice in the last week because of this crazy weather. Arg...

Hope it lets up soon, because you're right, it'd be totally annoying to not be able to work when you want to. Drive/walk safely!

I did end up working today, and driving myself. It really wasn't that bad once I got out of my neighborhood. It was a little slick getting onto the main road, but not bad. It was nice to get out! :)

Aw Stef, I'm sorry the snow is bringing you down and costiny you customers. It's so funny we usually have had some decent snow in New England by this time, but we really have had no accumulation. You're right though. It must be so much worse when the area is not really accustomed to that kind of weather - makes everything crazy!

But Paco is hilarious! I especailly like his trusty sidekick, the pinata!

I know, Paco cracks me up everytime I look out the window and see him. And his 'friend'. There was actually a girl walking down the road the other day with her dog, and stopped and made the dog sit next to Paco so she could take her picture. I just about died laughing watching the whole thing from my living room!! :)

That snowman is hilarious!

Sorry that the weather is affecting your business. Trust me, get my hair cut and colored is not minor in my book. I can't imagine canceling an appointment unless someone had kidnapped me. I joked with my colorist that I was going to call her when I went into labor so that she could quickly touch me up before the birth! :)

I hope everything clears up for you and gets back to normal soon!

Thanks for your kind words. I actually was able to work for a bit today. You crack me up...I've had clients tell me that I'm not allowed to go on maternity leave because they can't wait while I'm gone! ;) Cracks me up! :)
