i'm so sorry. my grandfather died a month & three days ago. the deterioration of his health was pretty sudden. he first became ill in july. before that he's always been in great health.
anyways, the point is, i know exactly how you feel. it's really hard to take on the fact that someone you love so dearly is dying.
just make sure you tell him how much you love him.
& if you want to talk, you can always im me. closedblueyes or bluestarforyou.
I'm sorry about your grandfather.
Thank you so much for the post, I'll add you to my buddy list.
I'll know more Friday and I hope I'll go see him a lot, it's just going to be hard to see him...sick.
I'm so sorry and understand how you feel. Just let him and your gradndma know how much you love them and be there for your mom. I didn't think I could do a thing but they told me over and over how much it meant to them to know I loved them and wanted to listen to them talk about good times. It is hard and I will be praying for you.
I understnad what you're going through...medana7April 18 2002, 17:34:20 UTC
Hey Steff, I jsut wanted to let you know that I know what you're going through. In 8th grade I had never known anyone I loved to be sick or to die. My Grandpa died of lung cancer that March. I'll never forget it. It was a really hard time for me. And that year, 1997, was the worst year I can remember of my entire life. In jsut that year I had gone from no one I loved ever dying to attending 5 funerals before the year ended.
This traumatic year is part of my testimony as a Christian, that I never did really get to talk to you about yet =) Having someone so wonderful and someone you lvoe so much die is really hard. I treasure every memory of my Grandpa so much to this day. God did help me through those hard times. I don't know how I would have dealt with it otherwise! I'm here for you Steff... and you and your family will always be in myt prayers! I love ya girl!
You don't have to pretend to be strong. Go ahead and cry if you need to. Sometimes it helps. Remember: God is YOUR strength in times of weakness. The Bible says that our strongest is His weakest. Just imagine how strong He is. Let that comfort you. You already know that this is all part of His purpose and wonderful plan. He will help you through this. Trust Him and lean on Him. I'll be sure to be praying for you and your family.

I think we'll need all the prayers we can get. I'm so grateful to have so many wonderful people in my life. :)
