haven't had one of these in a while...last night

So Wednesday I was invited to go out with "the girls" to this new club... Element. I'm sure many of you have heard of it. ANYWAY, my first reaction was "no" but then I thought about it during the day and decided maybe I should go hang out with my old buddies. So I called them back and told them I was going ( Read more... )

Like you said, Steff, you aren't judging them so don't feel like you are "condemning" them. There is nothing wrong in seeing things the way you see them. That would be like saying that someone is not normal, for no reason. You wouldn't be "normal" is you didn't do that! It is human nature to percieve things and make decisions, reactions, etc based on our own values and experiences.

Anyways, enough rambling. I wish you luck, and your friends will catch up, I promise. It took me a year or two longer than my friends, so i speak as an expert.

i am praying. and thank you for understanding.
It's really tough when I'm around readily available alcohol, it's so tempting. But God never said it would be easy, and the devil never said he wouldn't tempt us, and boy does he!

I'm sorry to hear that your friends are still in the funk you used to be in. But, God willing, they'll get out of it. Maybe soon, maybe someday. *^_^* Just keep praying, hold onto that hope, and they'll turn 'round. Hopefully before their livers put out. *x_X*; Sorry, I couldn't help but sneak that little bit of funny in. *^^*;

There were a few verses that came to mind when I read what you had to say. One talks about being holy because God is holy and the other says that we are to different from the world. Jesus came to save the lost - so maybe only He will know how many people you lead to Him by your feelings from the heart. You don't sound judgemental to me - just someone who loves the Lord and wants to share Him with others.

yeah, sometimes it is tough being different... especially when your friends aren't changing at the same rate as you are... whether they're faster or slower.

I don't know, this is tough, but I know God will walk me through it, and it doesn't even compare to some of the struggles others are going through right now.
