I wonder what he would think about the idea that lineups are obsolete.... (but still in use due to infrastructure).
With DVRs and Youtube and other internet content I really think that the lineup will slowly disappear in favor of complete on-demand programming for all shows. I wonder what he would think of that.
Either way... congrats. Always great to school a snot that thinks they know everything about everything.
If that is the case then I think it is a long way off. People love live TV. American Idol is so powerful that no one else even dares schedule something opposite it. Fox is in 4th place for the entire year, but the strength of Idol alone moves it up to 1st by the end of the year. I don't see how that could translate to youtube, DVR, etc. but who knows. I know I couldn't live without my DVR.
yeah, I think you are right Stef. On demand and stuff is cool, but there is still something about live TV that is still attractive. To be able to get your wish whenever becomes a little boring, I think. Live TV, and radio too, still have some hint of the unknown which makes it more fun.
Oh my gosh, the finale is on the day of my last final! I can watch it! We can watch it together! I will take Dorian's car! Yay! I haven't asked him yet, but I will do it anyway!
