Monster #1 has a new job as soon as she is finished with her master's degree this May! The company is in in northern Idaho, which is right where she wanted to be. It is also the same company at which she enjoyed her very first internship, so she already has some familiarity with the company and a bit of history (all good, of course ( Read more... ) -
I am officially the worst correspondent ever

At the moment, Monster #2 is camped out in my living room, looking like a chipmunk--she had her wisdom teeth yanked today--and my husband is in flight, on his way home from a job interview in Tampa. Of grief, gifts, and good wishes----
Starbuck and I put up the Christmas tree last weekend. We listened to Christmas songs and worked together on decorating the tree and the house. Job is going well. The ladies I work with are fabulous and truly make it a joy. They keep piling stuff on me to keep me busy, thank God, because boredom is such a serious buzz-kill. I was thinking about the difference between story and plot the other day, while considering the primary writing tripod of character, plot, and technique.

This weekend saw a visit from the Newlyweds Up North. We had a great, relaxing visit, which included a BBQ with 2 of 3 sisters and my parents.
