This Saturday, at the Califur Staph Meeting, We were shown a Documentary made by Furries For Furries. FurDoc, which had been in production for awhile

I wish I had been there through the whole thing. It would have made my life a lot easier. I came in at the tail end of comfurance, walked around when it was still in Buena Park but did not make it to the con or the PS until it was the last confurace and Tess moved.....sigh.
Coolness :) We've been around this long, We sure hope to keep on being here for quite a bit of time more!! Im certain that the first Furry old Folks Home Will be here in SoCal, Too!! ;D
Ahh...Interestingly I had a conversation on just this very topic this evening with a friend of mine from high school. While somewhat lamenting their drift and departure (more or less) from the Furry fandom over time the subject of ConFurence came up. Their contention was that ConFurence was dead and gone with no suitable replacement to which I took a fair amount of issue, explaining that Califur is, from my view and experience of it, very much the spirit of ConFurence.
I owe a fair amount to ConFurence (I was drafted to work CF4!) and the PS (I grew up less than 4 miles away!) for a lot in my life, especially my particular view of Furry. (and more broadly fandom in general) I was remarkably pleased at how much like the old ConFurence Califur was the first time I'd rode my motorcycle down. (Uh...Califur 3, I think?)
Wow! A Greymuzzle! :) Very, Very cool to see that you go to enjoy Califur when it was just starting up and getting its groove on: I came in during the Glory Days, the last days of the Atrium: That was a comfy and snuggly little hotel :3
Yay! Am glad you enjoyed the Califur experience: Because its run by the same old Confurence Crew! Just like a restaurant where the Name has changed, Sure: The Matre-D has changed, but the cooks in the kitchen are the same ones ;)
Relate that to your friend: I'm sure his stomach will agree that! ;)
Oh heck yeah!! Definitely I will be needing help! Zacharia is my MC, Ive got bodypainters, Kats going to be helping wrangle in the back, Gonna need a Backstage Manager, a Master Usher/Liontamer to keep the crowds in line, a Stage Manager & Assistant to work between stage/backstage to prepare "nex in line" actors and keep Zach informed of any changes and usher acts Onto the stage (Would You & Al be up to this task?)
I'd like to help out, but only me. We should talk, though. We never discussed it, but Zach and I had different ideas about how Cabaret should be done. He was in charge at the time and Cabaret turned out well, so I left because I didn't feel like I fit in. I'd enjoy helping out again, but I'd want to talk about our expectations so there aren't any crossed wires.

I'm only 36. Hard to really call myself a Greymuzle...then again, I've been around a while being one of those furries your parents warned you about.
