Diary of A Whipping Boy

So...I was a good little Christian boy this weekend. *smirk*

They say a true Christian will live a Christ-like life when Jesus is accepted into the heart. And I believe it to be true when on Halloween night I find myself strapped to a large cross and being whipped to the crowd's merriment.

I jest. Well...somewhat.

It was my first time to really have it done, but I kinda likey. The guy was really cool and nice and really into it (and into me it seemed). My roomie was actually getting paddled at the time. The guy asked my limitations as I climbed onto the X, and as his assistant strapped me in, I explained I was new, but pretty open, to which he replied that he'd listen for when I thought it was enough. There was a small crowd forming already, and I immediately heard 'Touch' by Wolfsheim begin. (We were in the indutrial/goth room.) I felt like part of a video or orchestrated performance. After I was restrained, he rotated the X all the way around slowly, turning me upside down and back. And then he began.

It's hard to explain the movement he did, but it was really cool. After hitting me the first couple times, he applied pressure with his forearm where he struck me and made sure I was comfortable, and that contact was kind of cool. After a few minutes he stopped, making sure I was alright, and asked if I wanted to continue. I noticed the crowd had gotten quite large by this point, and I was into it. I said it was OK with me if he wanted to turn me upside down. "Really??" He seemed rather excited. The second the crowd realized what was happening, a small cheer erupted from them. We continued a few minutes more, and then I was on my way.

I went back later, and he was there, but they were taking it all down. He gave me a hug and asked how I was doing. I'm not SO into that, but it was cool to connect to someone I didn't even know, in a non-sexual way that sort of did heighten my sense of reality for a bit.

We'll see how long now before I have a dungeon of my own.

Our hotel was 5 blocks away. We walked. It was too perfect. Another awesome Halloween.

The next morning, Jen left for work, and I stayed in LA. I visited El Pueblo to check out the 'Dia De Los Muertos' festival that they were having. It was beautiful, but way too many kids for my degree of hangover. I bought some suovenirs (A few keychains, a print, etc) and left. I'm going back next week, when things have quieted down.

Today, I voted. I feel good.

Now I'm going to sleep.
