I love them in the PV and I love the song, but I think I have enough of PV's with them only standing or dancing and singing inside a studio. I think they deserve better and more original PV's. Simplicity doesn't have to be boring (I thik "Troublemaker" was very elegant, original and funny in fact). And I would like location shots from time to time. Don't they sing "to be free"? So let's them go outside the studios LOL. Sorry for my english!
well, yeah I kind of agree with you there... But I became used to it anyway... With these PV's I know it's Arashi... I mean simple PV's like these are sooooo like them...And besides I will watch them in whatever vids hihihihi ^^,
But i hope they will go outside too, yeah! Something new and hip, that is!
I agree with your comment too... but I still think that there simple presence makes the PV all the more special than it already it is... and I really liked the song the first time I heard it and I guess I expected much from the PV as well... hehe! <3
I was actually thinking of the PV featuring lives of several hardworking people (like athletes, students, etc) and they would act like sort of angels who are guiding and/or watching over them until they succeed with their goals or something... haha! (Yeah I know its lame but at least its different from the usual standing while singing...haha!)
I dunno... but somehow the song affects me in that way..LOL ;P and yeah Nino's part is amaaaazzzzzziiiinnnngggg! <3
Seriously speaking, to be free don't catch my attention like Troublemaker or Monster though I am a die-hard Arashi fan. I mean, its nice but not nice enough you know. Though I think it will grow on you if you listen to it long enough.
As for the PV, it's refreshing that's for sure. And like what you say, its like Everything. Although I like Everything's PV more. It's nice... but again something is missing. It does not have that kindof mystical feeling as in 'Beautiful Days'. If it's the first single of the year then it should do fine. But after the epic magnitude and success of Troublemaker and Monster (both song-wise and PV-wise), I really can't help but worry for this single's success. Hopefully, Johnny can schedule more performances for this single, and it can reach or even bypass the success of the earlier singles =))
That Nino part is awesome! I'm not even a huge Nino fan but I was like "Step aside for a mo' Ohno!" :) It usually takes a few listens for me to decide what I think of a song but "To Be Free" may be my favorite Arashi song ever. I'll give it a week to see if it can overtake "Everything" as my ichiban. <3
hihihihi.... actually, I didn't expect that it was Kazu-kun upon hearing the song only...I thought it was Oh-chan...because sometimes they actually sound the same...:P hihihi)
