Stef, you are a wonderful, brilliant person. And you're right about remembering to be a kid. When I first got to college, I'd prance around telling everyone I wrote fic and it's the reason why I decided to take up Literature (then Creative Writing). And now some of my profs are telling me to let go of that because I should focus on writing original fic and poetry. And it kinda makes me want to gag, because fic and fandom is where my home is and I could never let that go. Which is pretty much why I've been closed off from certain academic circles now, and it's really frustrating. But I made my choice and what I'm doing now still makes me happy, so why I should be ashamed of that?

KAT KAT. <3 It's been a long time! I'm so glad you're still on LJ.

I think I've just been struggling a lot lately with getting over my self-consciousness when it comes to writing. It usually comes and goes, but I struggle with putting it out there and accepting that people are going to judge it anyway. Eurrghh, but yes. I'm working on it. :) How have you been!

I've become hopelessly sporadic, but yes, I am definitely still around and skipping back and forth in many fandoms. And I am always missing you guys. <3

I used to keep going back to things I'd submitted or posted, feeling that I could have edited better or I could have done something completely different and more appropriate. But eventually, that kept me from writing anything. So I made up my mind and told myself, once it's out there, just be proud of yourself and move on to the next story. And besides, Stef, you are an amazing writer, if your logs were any indication. ;) So yes, be more confident and keep moving forward!
