So today I had to turn in a 30-page thematic unit, had a 40-minute presentation in the same class, I still have two tests today. And then I have a curriculum project due by Friday and a Synthesis paper due by Friday for the same class as the Thematic Unit, Presentation, and not to mention a reflection I have due Wednesday in that same class! Yesterday morning at 1:03a.m. my grandma went home. The miracle: the entire family was there surrounding her. Surely the presence of God was there. I went with my church last night and saw the Passion of the Christ. It's heart-wrenching, it's grotesque, it's emotional. If this movie can't change someone, nothing can. It's so incredible. This weekend did not go very well. I found out about more stuff going on behind my back, had to take my brother to the hospital on Friday night 'cause my parents were gone, then my family had to put my grandma in hospice care. I felt the need earlier to just dedicate the entire entry to Mrs. Hormell. She touched my life in the eight weeks I knew her. She will be remembered. A life like hers should be celebrated. On Tuesday night a wonderful person left us to move on to a better place. Sandy Hormell, a teacher and Miami Professor, passed away Tuesday evening after struggling with Lou Gehrig's disease for the past eight months.
