I Hate Homework.

Dec 06, 2009 20:19

Period. It's Evil. Nothing more. All there is to it. Yes, I'll admit it, I procrastinated. Yes, I made another AMV instead of doing my math. Yes, I did go to the Boxford winter festival instead of doing my history. Yes, I did edit my ficlet instead of doing my frigging chem Psets. Yes, I did go down and practice my song for my singing lessons ( Read more... )

I know!!! I hate doing all my homework (I'm lookin' at you, Mr. Mitchell!), but I can't find a valid reason to explain to my teachers why their workload is crazy. Because everytime we complain about how much homework we have, they act like they are our only teacher, and we are all total procrastinators, and we are just totally inept at scheduling our time. And my parents think that I get distracted too easily, so they make fun of the fact that I can't go an hour without checking my laptop obsessively.
So, I have worked out the perfect I'm-on-my-laptop-so-it-looks-like-I'm-doing-homework-but-really-I'm-looking-at-Timmy/Degrassi/Rob-Riley/Bruins-stuff. It works quite well, I've found.

The problem is, that people don't listen. Teachers and staff at schools all claim to be there if you need help, but whenever you do, they solve what they think is the problem without listening to you. If you come down to complain about a teachers workload, they'll either tell you to suck it up, and then provide a session on time management, or switch you out, whether into another honors class or a CP one, which doesn't do a lick of good for all the other people who had him/her ( ... )

The worst part is when a teacher assumes you have nothing to do other than their class, as Chevy pointed out. And sometimes, damn it, yes, all I want to do is read through fanfiction archives and look up manga scanlations (I found this manga called Hetalia: Axis Powers and it is SO AWESOME and you should totally check it out by the way). Adults complain about being busy, but they have free time. We have to *make* free time.

*tee hee Hetalia gigglesnort* Where did you find it, by the way? I've been meaning to read more of it. :|a

And um also I am pretty much in agreement with everything everyone has said already. Hence why I am on LJ right now as opposed to doing the math homework that I can fake in homeroom.

I love scanlations. They make my life so much less productive. XD

HOORAY *dance*

God, do I ever wish I had discovered this back when we were doing World History, it would have made things so much more exciting. Of course, it probably also would have led to some pretty... interesting essays, but you know. XD

No, seriously. One of these days, I can just picture you punting Quinn across the classroom in a sleep-depraved rage.

XD Oh God, that image is so funny.
