thinkpositive30: day 14

I got to sleep in today, which is one of the things I look forward to most about the weekends, and eventually I made my way to Trader Joe's, where I got milk for my tea and some of their heat-and-serve Indian meals, and naan to go with them. Now I'm curled up on the couch with a cup of hot tea and my laptop, and I've just finished watching this ( Read more... )

But it's all fucked up again/still! Well, at least they're "talking", I guess, with mouth and hands and feet (not that that's necessarily a bad thing), but communicating. (what was it with Sophie hearing/not hearing him on the phone?) So yes, season three needs to start, like, now!

As for the Maggie & Sterling spin-off, I'd be right there. Provided there's a good measure of overlap, preferrably in the shape of Parker and Nate...

Oh yes, they're still terribly bad at any kind of involved communication, and Nate fails at actually managing to blurt out the L-word, but still, the fact that he admitted that he needs her is a huge step forward. And I totally melted at "you're my compass," plus after two seasons of yelling OMG MAKE OUT ALREADY at the TV, well, I was deeply gleeful when they finally did.

And I dunno if this was their intention with Sophie not being able to hear him on the phone, but it feels somehow kinda emblematic of the problems in their relationship?

There would definitely have to be all kinds of good crossover episodes with a Sterling and Maggie spin-off. Oh, there's so much potential there...

I was confused with the phone call, I went out of that scene thinking "oh no, this was probably the one moment where Nate was able to get these things out uncensored (except for the L-word) and Sophie doesn't hear him" and then was just surprised when she apparently had heard more than I'd assumed at first. (I... don't yet trust Nate's readiness enough not to worry that, while he was certainly sincere with the things he said, he was careless or defenseless because he was overwhelmed by everything and that now that he's back in control of the situation (well, kinda), his guards will be back up and the dance will start again, maybe on another level). On the other hand, THEY MADE OUT ALREADY, on his initiative, so maybe I shouldn't be such a sceptic.
