Oh the heat! It's about time for getting cooler -_-
That sounds like a lovely holiday :) I'm not much for hiking actually, but visiting the English countryside would be nice. I alwaysgo to London (for reasons), and right now I'm here with Em and two of my nieces. I'm afraid I'll have to force my nieces to go strolling for more than an hour since they're just not used to it :D
I didn't know you didn't know about photo ops :( Luckily, you got at least Jared and Misha. Did you see that Sue Grimshaw had internet trouble and sent her email 30 seconds late and still got a Jensen op, while another girl that sent 20 seconds late got none. Talking about favouritism, I won't.
It got cooler! *g* At night, at least, that's a relief.
I am very sure that once the time comes for the actual hike, I will curse myself nonstop for the whole six days - as always. But looking back, it was always fun. Although London's very nice, too, I totally understand why you'd go there. I'd be very jealous of you if I hadn't been there in May.
It was my fault with the photo ops, really. I didn't expect them to become book-able this early. The only one I would have really been upset about is Jared, so I'm very happy that I got one of those. (And I hope that's because he takes more photos and not because people don't want pictures with him.) Internet trouble on booking day, what a nightmare!
I put a reminder for the double photo ops in my phone now. (Falls ich eins kriege, könntest du mir evtl. mit der Überweisung helfen? Die Woche darauf bin ich nämlich schon in Schottland.)
hey there! This heat is definitely making sleeping a chore at the moment, but it sounds like you've got a good process in place - you even get the occasional little flappy visitor to keep you company :) I'm glad you got a couple of your photo ops, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the waiting list for your Jensen op.! Enjoy your holiday - that part of Scotland is so beautiful, you'll have a fabulous time, I'm sure. xx
I could have done without the flappy visitor, honestly. ;) At least at three in the morning.
I don't have that high hopes about Jensen, but I'm glad that I got Jared. He's the one I really wanted, anyway.
I'm very much looking forward to Scotland; sister and me did some town-hopping around the same area by bus around 16 years ago, and I really liked it. I do hope it's not coinciding with your coming to Germany, though.
I'm travelling to Germany on the 3rd September, and travelling home on the 8th. I'm staying in Dusseldorf with Sonja most of the time, although travelling to Cologne on the 4th. I'm meeting another friend in Dusseldorf on the 5th, and there's one other person I've arranged to meet, but we haven't finalised a date yet. It will either be on the 6th or 7th. If you're around, and there's a chance of us meeting up ...?
Argh, I'm leaving for Scotland tomorrow myself, and I won't come home before the 14th... So sadly, I won't be able to come. A shame, I would have loved a fanish meet-up.
Woah, at least mine was a bit cooler. I'm on the ground floor, and I only really get a lot of direct sun in the late afternoon. I've never been more glad about that.
