Congrats to the Woman of Letters : ) Varry nice work. Line art is so hard to get done so nicely and so clean. Kind of a perfect day to post this, on the announcement of them shutting down next year. At least we have some warning, and a whole year to savor the show. After 300 episodes I think they're probably looking forward to new adventures. I'm sure it's bittersweet. Some stars never have a hit after one series, but the boys have had three regular series worth of success in our little show.
I don't think it's quite sunk in yet. It will the first thursday of the TV season when there is no SPN, or I see a movie with one J, but not the other. They have shone so very bright.

I am glad they announced the end now, so many shows are simply not renewed halfway through a season, and then the writers have to scramble to tie everything up. Or worse, they get cancelled bewteen seasons.
I'm not so sure we'll be seeing much of them in other shows or movies. Money-wise, they probably don't have to, and I always got the impression that for them, Sam and Dean are also the most important roles they've had, and it would be hard to take up another. But I hope I'm wrong!
Even though I haven't watched SPN in many years, it was still a bit of a shock to hear that it's going to end. By now I didn't think it would ever happen. Hehe.
I love the tattoos! I'd like fandom tattoo, too, but I can't decide on what and where.
As for symbols of the other fandoms, for LotR probably the ring. Hehe. And XF the UFO or something. Or the X from the logo.
I guess you're never ready for a show that you're still watching to end. But SPN has been going on for longer than I'd thought. I did hope it would run for longer than Grey's Anatomy at least. ;)
It's taken me literally years to decide on a design for a fandom tattoo. And if I hadn't left out the symbols I have no idea for yet, I probably still wouldn't have it.
A ring would indeed be the obvious choice, but I can't think of a 2D ring that doesn't simply look like two circles! But the X or an UFO are indeed the two options I was thinking about. :)
