1. (2.1.09) Engaging the Enemy by Elizabeth Moon. #3 Vatta's War. Space opera popcorn continued.
2. (2.1.09) Will the Last Person to Leave the Planet Please Shut Off the Sun? by Mike Resnick. Very good short story collection. Worth reading.
3. (6.1.09) Command Decision by Elizabeth Moon. #4 Vatta's War. Space opera popcorn continued.
4. (8.1.09) Stealing the Elf King's Roses by Diane Duane. Not bad, but not her best. Cover completely wrong.
5. (22.1.09) Small Favour by Jim Butcher. # 10 Dresden Files. Usual readable popcorn.
6. (27.1.09) Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan. Romance fantasy fluff. Probably wont bother with the next in the series. Paranormal romance with not enough of the paranormal.
7. (30.1.09) Melusine by Sarah Monette. Okish but a bit angsty.
8. (10.2.09) The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko. Still good. (r)
9. (10.2.09) Down on the Farm by Charles Stross. Yay to another Laundryverse story.
10. (13.2.09) Girl Genius Volume 1: Agatha Heterodyne and the Beetleburg Clank by Phil and Kaja Foglio. Yay mad science :)

19. (25.2.09) Cards of Grief by Jane Yolen. Very good. (r)
20. (27.2.09) The Forever Dream by Iris Johansen. Really not up to her best efforts. Really.
21. (4.3.09) Ivory by Mike Resnick. Good, though occasionally a bit depressing - like a lot of his stuff.
22. (6.3.09) Midshipwizard Halcyon Blythe by James M Ward. Better Napolionic dragons take than Kim Novak - leastwise, more Naval than WWII airforce.
23. (9.3.09) The Rainbow Abyss by Barbara Hambly. Better than I remembered. (r)
24. (12.3.09) The Magnificent Rogue by Iris Johansen. Not her best, but not bad. (r)
25. (13.3.09) The Magicians of the Night by Barbara Hambly. Also better than I remembered. (r)
26. (23.3.09) Nation by Terry Pratchett. Definitely good.
27. (29.3.09) Victory Conditions by Elizabeth Moon. Space opera popcorn cont. 5th and final book of Vatta's War series. Ever so slight streak of corporation good govt bad (to the series)...
28. (3.4.09) Iron Council by China Mieville. Curious. Depressing and different. Not certain if will try Perdito Street Station (the next one).
29. (~6.4.09?) Dragonfrigate Wizard Halcyon Blithe by James M Ward. Readable napoleonic dragon fluff.
30. (~8.4.09) Bridge of Birds by Barry Hughart. As good as always. Read it. (r)
31. (15.4.09) Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher. Book 1 of Codex Alera. Okish but not certain will chase up next in series. Too much pile on the angst and injury.
32. (~23.4.09) Anno Dracula by Kim Newman. Dracula survives Van Helsing and marries Queen Victoria. And thus thing develop. The Bloody Red Baron is still the best of the series, but this one s good. (r)
33. (26.4.09) Remember the Cat by Mercedes Lackey. Bit too fluffy.
34. (~29.4.09) Academ's Fury by Jim Butcher. Book 2 of Codex Alera. Better than the first, but still not brilliant.
35. (8.5.09) Sporting Chance by Elizabeth Moon. 2nd of the Heris Serrano ones. Ok fluff.
36. (17.5.09) The Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden by Catherynne Valente. Very cool stories within stories within stories. Quite different, whimsical, bittersweet and worth reading. Will chase up the next one.
37. (19.5.09) Valor's Choice by Tanya Huff. Rouke's Drift with dinosaurs. Fun. (r)
38. (22.5.09) The Better Part of Valor by Tanya Huff. Good space marine popcorn. Should track down the next one in the series.
39. (2.6.09) Iron Sunrise by Charles Stross. Like the physics of this one. (r)
40. (7.6.09) Growing Up Weightless by John M Ford. Different. Still working out what I think.
41. (9.6.09) Tam Lin by Pamela Dean. One of the Fairy Tales series. An old favourite. (r)
42. (11.6.09) Fly by Night by Frances Hardinge. Odd but good YA historical fantasy. Will chase up more of her stuff.
43. The Nightingale by Kara Dalkey. One of the Fairy Tales series. Like them. (r)
44. (19.6.09) Briar Rose by Jane Yolen. One of the Fairy Tales series. Very very good, though a bit depressing with the combination of WWII and Sleeping Beauty. (r)
45. (22.6.09) The Sun, the Moon and the Stars by Stephen Brust. One of the Fairy Tales series. Not his best but still good. (r)
46&47. (29.6.09) Jack of Kinrowan (containing Jack the Giant Killer and Drink down the Moon) by Charles de Lint. One of the Fairy Tales series. Not his best but still good. (r)
48. (~6.6.09) Voyage of the Shadowmoon by Sean McMullen. #1 Moonworlds saga. Not bad, but not keep me up til 3am type thing. (r)
49. (17.7.09) Glass Dragons by Sean McMullen. #2 Moonworlds saga. Better than the last one, but still not up til 3amish. Continuing with the series though.
50. (27.7.09) Voidfarer by Sean McMullen. #3 Moonworlds saga. Fun, though it may have been funnier if had actually read War of the Worlds.
51. (28.7.09) Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley. Good, though still digesting.
52. (3.8.09) The Prestige by Christopher Priest. Finally got around to reading this after seeing the movie a while back. Quite good, though a quite different tack compared to the book.
53. (4.8.09) Ishmael by Barbara Hambly. Star Trek. Oldie but a goody. (r)
54. (4.8.09) Sorcery and Cecelia by Patricia Wrede and Caroline Stevermer. A fun Regency Era comedy of manners with magic. And there are apparently 2 more in the series to track down. (r)
55. (~12.8.09) The Orphan's Tales: In the Cities of Coin and Spice by Catherynne Valente. Continuing the stories within stories within stories. Not as good as the first one, but still very good.
56. (18.8.09) The Wild Hunt: Vengeance Moon by Jocelin Foxe. Fairly well written and a good read.
57. (~20.8.09) The Mystery of Grace by Charles de Lint. New non-Newford one. Better than some of the recent stuff, though not quite up to his best.
58. (~23.8.09) A Lick of Frost by Laurell K Hamilton. First there was politics, then there was sex, then there was politics. Not much happened really. Meh.
59. (26.8.09) Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop. Favorite popcorn fallback. (r)
60. (28.8.09) Heir to the Shadows by Anne Bishop. Continuing the popcorn. (r)
61. (31.8.09) Queen of Darkness by Anne Bishop. Continuing the popcorn. (r)
62. (4.9.09) Cursor's Fury by Jim Butcher. Book 3 of Codex Alera. Ok popcorn. Curious enough about the next book.
63. (7.9.09) Empire of Ivory by Naomi Novik. Book 4 of the Temeraire novels. Okish.
64. (11.9.09) The Atrocity Archive by Charles Stross. Again good as always. (r)
65. (13.9.09) Swallowing Darkness by Laurell K Hamilton. So why was I reading these again? More plot than sex this time. Not a strong point.
66. (17.9.09) Blood Noir by Laurell K Hamilton. Usual lack of plot popcorn.
67. (~21.9.09) Looking for Jake by Chiana Mielville. Short story collection which was good but depressing and disturbing.
68. (25.9.09) The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross. As good as ever. (r)
69. (2.10.09) Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught. Brainless fluff. (r)
70. (6.10.09) Once and Always by Judith McNaught. Continuing the brainless fluff binge. May have saturated though. (r)
71. (8.10.09) Jhereg by Steven Brust. As good as always. (r)
72. (~9.10.09) Ring of Fear by Anne McCaffrey. Popcorn. (r)
73. (14.10.09) Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. Good as always. TV series does stick very close. (r)

75. (21.10.09) Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett. One of my favourites (r)

91. (8.12.09) The Last Unicorn by Peter S Beagle. Classic read. (r)
92. (11.12.09) The Medieval Machine: The industrial revolution of the Middle Ages by Jean Gimpel. Interesting read, though a little eccentric to the end.
93. (14.12.09) Dragon by Stephen Brust. I think one of his better one or at least one I reread often. (r)
94. (17.12.09) Maskerade by Terry Pratchett. Needed it to cure watching Phantom of the Opera on Tues evening. (r)
95. (~19.12.09) Issola by Steven Brust. Still digesting since a lot went on in that one and it was the first reread. (r)
96. (21.12.09) Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett. Usual fun. (r)
97. (24.12.09) Dzur by Steven Brust. Good. (r)
