instead of slaving over thank-you notes for the second day in a row, i spent this morning sleeping in until 11:00, which is something i haven't done in about a week and it was much needed. yesterday was my parent's anniversary, so i spent the day home cleaning up the downstairs for them, went to the grocery store and bought them flowers, set up the ( Read more... )

About that "Laid" song, sophomore year I made this mix CD that me and margie would listen to in her room (they had that room right next to the dorm office that year, yet they always managed to be late to sign in...oh the memories) and you'd be quite shocked as to the lyrics. I originally heard the song at camp, the older kids always put them on their mix tapes (before the days of cd burning). Anyway, the lyrics are something like this:

This bed is on fire with passion and love
The neighbors complain about the noises above
But she only comes when she's on top

RAUNCHY!!!

hahah yeah i know the lyrics are sooo raunchy. the only part that they actually play in the preview is that first line, "this bed is on fire with passion and love" (or is it "passionate love"? that's what i thought it said...?), but after i listened to the whole song i was like whoa!

aww, i remember when their room was right next to the office... i used to go in there before mrs. smith's english class 3rd hour, because that was before the teachers became crazy about students being in their seats during the entire homeroom 10-15 minutes... ah. and mrs. smith let us eat and drink in class. i loved her, as crazy as she was...

aw, you made me stroll down memory lane!

Memory lane...Mrs. Smith's class and our wonderful plays! That was a fun class to have for your freshman year. Sometimes we were so wild in that class. And the discussion with Laura about who the hero was and where the romance was... good times at CK.

hehehe, yeah maria. what a rowdy bunch of little teenage girls...

luckily (?) for me, i had mrs smith for freshman and sophomore year... ah, the crazy times... having those two english classes made up for the fact that i hated my junior year english class (dr anthonio didn't like my writing at all... i got straight C's in that class...) and then i was able to take a poetry class and then mr linder's class and i was terrified that he wouldn't like me or my writing but he did...

made me regain faith in writing even after the whole dr anthonio experience. at least the people in my class made it interesting...
ben, ashley mark, jo, jessie...

oh, richard.
