I love you Tales Studio, and I love that you're making an anime out of one of my favorite games. I also love how you've been keeping it pretty close to the game so far. And I understand that you're trying to cater to a lot of the fans by adding in some hints of major gay, but please, please, PLEASE stop cutting out my favorite Luke and Tear moments ( Read more... )

At the risk of sounding retarded, where are the hints of gay?

I've watched the anime so far, but... I must be missing them, because while it's funny to joke about, I'm not really seeing anything that lends itself to shipping... anywhere. Maybe Asch and Natalia? Maybe.

And I'm cool with the no ship thing. It's why fandom exists, but it looks like all they've done is move the story along?

OK, I guess "major" was bad word-choice. Mostly it's been really subtle changes that wouldn't really mean much, but the fact that they changed them brings them to attention and makes them more important, you know what I mean? Random stuff like there's supposed to be some perfectly innocent scene between Luke and Tear but they change it to Luke and Guy instead for no conceivable reason and I'm just like "lolwut?"

I guess mostly I'm just bitter that they cut so much out with the passage rings. You'll get to see it all eventually I suppose.

But now that I think about it, yeah, you're right, it hasn't been shipping anybody. That's just what's been bothering me, you see. By now Luke x Tear should be beyond obvious, but they've been slowly cutting away all the little scenes between them. As a lover of canon, this makes me sad. I assume they'll make up for it later, but right now all I can do is complain about what's been released.
