Though it's kind of a "pilot program" my department has been reduced to two people (from three). They're suspending the search for a new "Executive Director" (my boss) and bumping me and the other person up.

Congratulations?

My school keeps wanting me to work "overtime" -- but since we are technically salary, if we teach extra classes, the extra pay is so heavily taxed (and we are paid at a lower rate), that it becomes not worth it. I found the point in the contract that says I don't have to do it, and so I stopped. At least they are offering you more pay for more work -- Its better than a lot of people are being offered (more work for less pay).
