Little timeline clarification: (undergraduates, but also some grad students) come home for Thanksgiving, back to school for 3 weeks, then take a long Christmas break, then back for the first part of the second semester, at which point they get ready for Spring Break. In this case I'm scheduling the MHA program's comprehensive exams in Feb-or-March and bringing her home permanently at their conclusion.
