Happy New Year to you also. Well now that Kristin is pregnant with Wilson's child she is going to have to move with them- wether Wilson wants them to or not. At least she is sensible enough to see that Wilson needs House just as much as House needs Wilson. LOL at Rachel's knitting projects and House's plans to get his ducklings in line. Poor Taub, I hope he at least will enjoy the move.
Well, Kristen's worked at PPTH and she's been with Wilson (on and off and on and off and now on) for several years, and the House-Wilson interdependence isn't subtle. Kristen, though, like Miss July, is a little bit insulated from the effects of all that codependence by a life of her own beyond PPTH, and a healthy streak of tolerant amusement. She's also not quite as smart as any of them and that helps, here.
Oh, she lived a long and fruitful life, with many exciting travels and adventures, and she went out in a blaze of glory, so I'm she sure wouldn't want me to grieve. But thank you.
... and that's just cute. Although knowing House, the dorsal fin is probably a metaphor ... That toy, though, is a wonderful metaphor for SharkVerse House: his predatory nature, his playfulness, the sky-high soars followed by steep dives.

Kristen sounds - nice and sane. Hmm, that sounds almost like an insult ...Which would explain all the "off-again" parts of her history with Wilson. Wilson, to my reading, wants nice and sane to balance off his relationship with House, but it bores him. His demands in a relationship itself aren't too high -- keep him company and have sex with him and he's good; he'll agree to whatever you say -- but all that time with House has set his intensity bar kind of high. He envies the kind of passion he sees in Cuddy/House, but it

...I created an account on LiveJournal for the sole purpose of being able to leave you comments (I have read all of them, at least once). I love your Huddy fanfics - you have a wonderful ear for dialogue, and do a terrific job of capturing the small moments of everyday life. I am embarrased to confess that I am checking for a new installment of 'Blessings' first thing each morning. Please keep writing!
Very cute chapter. And I think you're spot-on about Wilson - he thinks he wants the nice girl with the white picket fence, but the only person he sticks with is his never-boring diagnostician.
