Thank you for posting so quickly, and here I am commenting so late /;
Love, love, lobe, Cuddy.
Georgie running to House with the first nightmare growl, really takes the pressure off both House and Cuddy. She must be just as tired of asking House, " Are you OK", as House is of Cuddy asking.
I was flummoxed by the due date angst. How else is Wilson going to have a family~Yea, Kristen.
I did a tiny bit of research for this part of the story and when I was asking about re-homed service dogs, the foster/trainer told me that they typically respond "eagerly" to new jobs. I thought a dog like that would react with, "Screaming? On it."
With his background and cynical view of parenthood and relationships, I figured House would be very critical of "creating a human being for the purpose of pushing another person into an unfulfilling relationship," as he said about Stacy and Mark. It's a measure of how Cuddy's absence discombobulated him that he didn't blow a gasket over Kristen's conveniently timed pregnancy; in fact, although he and Wilson know everything about each other from the state of the others' cuticles to the mileage on their tires, he didn't even notice that Wilson was walking into what he'd call a trap. He's starting to accept the impact that Cuddy has on his brain, though: "That's because you were (stupid.) ... It happens."
Thanks for the review. I expect to update later tonight.
I guess Kristen might fit in with the 'family' better than it originally appeared! Wilson should sort of be used to that kind of thing by now, having House as a best friend (and Cuddy as a boss/friend-in-law) all these years. I'm glad the baby's ok, at any rate.
And, not to tell you anything you don't clearly already know, but Cuddy is Awesome. She is totally The Queen of their little circle, and I always LOVE it when she out-guesses/out-plays House.
Yes, I think House would approve of Kristen more now that he knows she can be manipulative. He might had thought she was too boring for Wilson, otherwise.
The last part is up now -- it was late, but it's long.
Fear not, the last part is up now -- good news is it's up, and very long (relative to the other chapters of this story), bad news is it's the last for this story.
