This was a stirring start to a new chapter in your epic sharkverse saga. I always love new insights into House revealed through glimpses of his childhood. The image of Blythe juggling such a fraught social gathering, with her bullying husband, intrepid son, and the chaplain who may have fathered her child, is a tribute to her calm -- or oblivious -- nature.

Blythe is indeed a blithe spirit. But I will forever maintain that her refusal to defend Greg in the face of her husband's abusive behaviors did real damage to her son.

I am not watching the show itself much. But I love keeping up with House, Cuddy, and Rachel through your excellent stories.

I'm watching the show,but I still miss it. It's not the same. I feel like it's already over, in some ways.

Oh. My. Gosh.

This is tender, poignant, and just has so much incredible potential. I will (try to) wait (patiently???) for the next chapters, but I know that I'm going to be checking my computer at least thrice daily.

The opening scene was so amusing...but I loved the interaction at the piano...and then howled with laughter at the scene with Rachel, and the notion of the centaur having a Brooklyn accent.

The world is feeling a little warmer and fuzzier this evening than it did this morning.

One of the (many) things I've admired about your work in the SharkVerse is your ability to pick and choose things from canon to include and offer your own spin on. I'm so glad you decided to take this on and explore the potential in this situation (which I think the writers bungled mightily in the last episode).

I have to admit that I don't even watch the show anymore, but I'm perfectly happy to replace show!canon with Sharkverse. Seems a lot psychologically healthier for everyone, fictional and not.

I think I'm going to enjoy this. I've always liked the way you wrote Blythe, and your take on the emotions behind House's childhood are going to be interesting to read.

Also, I love overtly-parental House. That's just too cute :3

Jealous of the fact that you plot out your stories (and chapter titles!) in advance, but already feelin' this story. You're so writerly, it's a nice change of pace in the fan fic world, lady.
