A story from Stenveny! Lovely way to welcome 2014.

Cameron having a mean right hook. Loving the shit, and a perfectly gasp worthy funny line:" Even Cameron's benders are demure." :)

" Most likely, he didn't give a thought to what possible effect his dying would have on you, because, well." She shrugs minutely. "If he's dying, it's not about you."

You always get Cuddy right.

Thank you. Wishing you the very best New Year.....and I'm out here looking for more of your House and Cuddy, and hope when I click on your LJ in the future I'll get another surprize!

Cuddy is nothing if not pragmatic. Thank you for commenting, and a happy new year to you, too.

Yeah, when you look at it that way, it was a present for Cuddy and not just my Secret Santa recipient, wasn't it?

I was interested, when I saw this episode, in what (if anything) House would have made of the Beethoven piece the patient "played" during his MRI. Missed opportunity, which I gratefully pick dup in the fic. Glad it made sense for you.

Thanks again for commenting, and happy new year.

What an absolute delight to see a new story from you...even if it is at least 150000 words shorter than I would have liked.

As always, the multi-layered character of your storytelling is a joy, and there is no backing away from the bad stuff along with the good. I laughed and laughed at the notion that Cameron had a strong throwing arm, and that she could have punched out House (a highly plausible response once the necessary background info was supplied), and I savoured the way that Cuddy shifted Chase out of the apartment so that she could take over. But perhaps what was the most special was the way that you wove the analysis of the Beethoven sonata into the story in a way that actually advanced the plot. That was virtuoso writing!

I love the unflinching way in which you write Huddy; it's always so authentic, and vivid. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks for the review. I listened to the sonata as I was thinking about this fic. The Housian analysis came out of my VERY non-musically-inclined interpretations of it. A real musician would probably cringe at the oversimplifications, but I tried to keep it vague enough to apply.

Happy new year.
