"I once broke into a maximum security storage vault with stuff I scrounged off a buffet table during a wedding reception, and then escaped in a four hundred thousand dollar Lamborghini I hotwired with the bride's cell phone. While I was wearing heels.

I always love the way that your stories challenge the reader, right from the start, and this one is no exception: you parachute us into House's brain, looking around and discovering the bar scene, and trying to deduce what the f*** is going on. We're engaged (and delighted) from the very beginning.
His wry self-awareness, his recognition of the intrinsic lack of satisfaction with what he is getting - that he is merely putting in time, rather than deriving any real enjoyment from his tropical paradise - and the clues that he is wanting to get back to his own life as objects from his apartment start to appear...well, it's all wonderfully well done.
Looking forward very much to the next chapter!

And if it's no surprise that Cameron got there first, I hope that what she's been doing there, at least, will be just a little unpredictable.

I'd wondered who those folks on the screen were at the beginning of Season 6 LOL. And there are several misbegotten and ill-treated characters from other shows I hope found a happier life (or at least good company) on the Peninsula...

Yes, I'll try to work in several mistreated characters -- of not specific ones, at least the tropes and usual suspects for OOC-abuse. No matter what I do to the House characters, I figure it can't possibly be worse than what "canon" did. ( I am going to have to play fast and loose with the laws of time and space, but, Literary License.)
