Characters, Pairing: House/Cuddy, Wilson, Cameron
Warning: Crack. Meta.
Summary: I honestly have no explanation for this. But if you've ever wondered, "who were those awful people in season 7, and where did House and Cuddy go?" then here is my gift f to you.

I'd kind of forgotten about Season 5 (we're so hormonally imbalanced that we plant trip wires in our own hospital at the risk of maiming a handicapped employee) and S6 (we're so desperate that we date the biggest man-child around). Lucky you -- a lot of Cuddy fans wish we could forget such nonsense, And let's not forget the administratively brilliant move of appointing Cameron, the previously-mentioned pyromaniac, to watch over the gasoline and matches. (But it's my hope that if you put season 7 House, in a tropical paradise with season 4 Cuddy, as I'm about to, you get a completely different kind of heat.)

House's attempts to connect his own problems with the various clues in his environment made me grin, but the response to Stephen Cabot Spencer and the discussion of the absurdities of the plot points of Prescription Passion were absolutely hilarious.
He's still absolutely House, however - focused on solving the mystery, on finding a strategy to diagnose his medical problem, and willing to be daring and innovative to achieve his goal. Which is what makes everything SUCH a treat.
Looking forward very much to the next installment: it will be amazing to see Cuddy operating in this environment!

On several occasions throughout the season and after, several fans commented, something along the lines of "That was not House (or Cuddy); it was his/her evil twin." Probably the most plausible explanation, and it led me to wonder -- what happens to the character when his or her evil twin (or good twin, or stupid twin, as the case may be) is on screen? On soap operas, usurped characters are often biding their time and plotting their triumphant return in a remote undisclosed location. For me, the more interesting question is not why they'd flee but why in the world, after seeing what hash their counterparts have made of their lives, they'd ever want to go back.

I'm glad you liked Cameron here in part 2. Part 3 brings Cuddy in, and part part 4 will be Wilson's entrance.
Thanks for reviewing.
