yes, lost. and also to miss. but, i used it incorrectly. as perder would mean to miss an event, not a person.

but faltar is not applicable here either, as my boyfriend is not missing, he is missed. and i am doing the missing.

i checked with my spanish professor and it's actually one of two choices:

Echo de menos a mi novio hermoso

Extrano a mi novio hermoso ...

with a tilde over the n of extrano of course ... thank you american keyboards!

however, i'm sure she has told you that in differ countries we have dichos. so in my country falta is acceptable
