NaNoWriMo 2012

So, last year I was incredibly disappointed that with everything going on in my life, I couldn't participate in NaNoWriMo, despite already having ideas for a story planned.

I'm determined to at least attempt it this year (I have no expectations to actually complete it).  Is anyone else on my f/list going to do it?

Good luck with that... I don't think I will participate at all, since my mojo is kinda dead at the moment and I can't get myself to write ANYTHING at all... But I'm sure you'll gonna do great :)

I love to write to my favourite music, though... at the moment Adam Lambert's new album for example :)

I've never taken part in NaNoWriMo... not really for any reason. I sometimes listen to music when I write, but more in the initial stages, when I'm just getting the ideas or the outline figured out. When I want to work on wording, etc, I need it quiet. I'm too easily distracted and I lose the mood.

Ooohh, post your songs!! That would be fun. I like knowing other people's inspiration. :)

Also, it took me about 10 minutes to actually read your post because I kept stopping to stare at the pretty, pretty pic and then forgetting what I was doing in the first place. XD

I find it more difficult to actually concentrate in silence- I've always got to have something on in the background.

Will do, I'm going to go through my iPod this week and sort one out because there is so much music I want to add to a huge playlist that I can just have on repeat.

There are songs of Slipknot, Therapy? and Stone Sour that all embrace the cello that I could reccommend also. What do you recommend?

I've got my POI BigBang to complete for August, so it should still leave me plenty of time, and as my Nano fic has been in my mind for a while now, I should have enough material to at least be able to write for the month; although with rl getting in the way I may not actually have the time to do it
