I am non too pleased with the results of this years election, but at least it is only a minority government run by a right-wing robot... it's also sad that 60% didn't even vote for him. Wow

Either Dryden, or Stronach, I think... Most likely Dryden, though, because he has the stuff, he's smart, he's charismatic, and he swept his riding. Whereas Belinda's gotta prove herself and convince Canadians that she's got some brains and isn't just riding on daddy's money. The Liberals definitely need someone younger as leader to give them that boost, but I don't think she can do it. People seem to think she can, but I don't, really. They need someone who's new, but who's an effective leader. The next couple of months are going to be interesting.
Jack Layton said in a news conference today that he wants to make "young people" his number one priority. What an awesome guy.
seems the only approapriate comment from us left wingers is 'it could have been alot worse.' the reason i love canada is our ability to stand on our own. have our own views and ideas. this is what i feel may be compromised by stephan harper. i hope he really thinks about what CANADIANS want, and not what he and his party feel is right. id like to see all the best parts of canada being envied by the rest of the world.
as far as a new liberal leader..
well it better not be belinda stronach or ill kill myself. having michael ignatiff run the party may not be a bad idea. granted, he is new to the party..but he may give the liberals just enough balls to get back in power and stay in line next time around.
i don't mean to be an asshole. but the green party's environmental platform was the worst in the election. read it. it is actually terrible (worse than the conservatives)
