Well, I want you to be a humanist. I know you will probably think, "oh, I'm a humanist." But what I really mean is that you have understand the point of view that everyone will believe what they want, and you should let them. I think you should go back through it and really understand what he is saying. This really all comes down to the conversation I had with you about gay marriage. You have to allow other people to do what they want, for they do the same to you. You have said, and probably still whole-heartedly believe, that if there was a vote on gay marriage, you would vote to make it illegal. That is an extremely unhumanist thing to do. If there was a vote on whether or not people should be allowed to practice Christianity, though I disagree with Christianity, I would never vote to make it illegal. lol silly, these arguments are to be saved for our lengthy convo's not my livejournal posts haha... I'm not a humanist then. I may be, but one with more love. Sean, if I strongly believe that gay people, only because of their decisions to live a sinful life and nothing more, are going to end up in hell because of it, I would never, ever vote to allow them to decide to do that. Not being able to get married may cause a fight in just one couple, and then maybe they'd end up breaking up and try being straight? Perhaps? Either way, one person coming out from that and going to heaven is way better then me just allowing it, and "tolerating" people going to hell. I love them in a Jesus way, too much to see that happen. I'll never give up on you. I love you too much. =)
Yea I made a decision right around the fall retreat time on my own to break up with brad and make sure we were on the right track and right with God. I'll listen to it, thanks for lookin out! xo
